Pros

Had a few great co-workers that made the experience a little more bearable.

Cons

Greedy….the patient is the least of their concerns. Simply outrageous, the way they are charged and the careless handling of insurance. I mean, who cares if it’s covered right, the patient still has to pay even if they are 94 years old and have no idea what they signed because it wasn’t explained to them…they were just told they had to sign here to get their blood drawn…so they did. The supervisors were all out of state. They’d drop by every now and then. It felt like we were constantly being beat down with negative feedback When Mercy Hospital sold to Quest and the employees went along for the ride you could definitely feel the tension. If you didn’t start as a Quest employee you were the red headed step child so to speak. I’m just warming up…haven’t even gotten to the good stuff yet, but no…I don’t recommend this company. Stay Away.

Pros

-Worked overtime during the pandemic. - co workers were really nice.

Cons

-Quite obvious the leaders of the company prioritize their paychecks. -Very strict micromanaging style - Lack of PTO and time off/holidays -No real perks besides the basic benefits which are sub-par -Managers have very little experience of managing employees and receive a lot of pressure from higher ups. -Not a healthy culture that lacks transparency, honesty and respect. -The techs and lab assistants here are all great people who I've remained somewhat connected to, however they have mostly shared similar experiences.

Pros

The job itself is fine, although I think that poor management is tolerated for far too long.

Cons

The HR department is the most incompetent, disgraceful, and infuriating body I have ever worked with. They close tickets just to get them off their plate without bothering to ask themselves if it makes sense to close it, they submit benefits paperwork wrong all the time costing employees many hours and dollars trying to get health coverage, they are slow (benefits reps have 5 days to look at your ticket so if one of them closes it because of laziness or incompetence you might be stuck for another five days before getting anywhere). They mess up status changes and PTO payouts and basically everything I have ever needed a ticket for. I cannot believe the experience here, every ticket in the several years I've worked here has required multiple reopenings and escalations to fix. Such a big company should have a functioning HR department.
