Nobody cares anything about the employees. Last winter, there was a state emergency about the big snowstorm and even on that day, we had to go to work. And what happened? So many people cannot leave the building, many people called out and used their paid-time off. And since the weather was that bad, there was no work to do as nobody could go outside.
Terrible management in the laboratories. There were not enough chairs in the lab, so people were fighting about the chairs. If I left my chair for a few minutes, I couldn't find it back. They were stealing the cartridges from the printers, chairs, pens, lab equipments, and everything..
There is absolutely no opportunities to grow. If you qualify for an upper position, you need to wait for years. Hardworking and well-educated people leaves the company after a few months. Too many people quit in my department in a very short peroid of time.
Some people were using more than 2 long breaks in 8 hours and nobody was saying anything. The rules were only applied to real working people. The only strict rule was cell phone usage which was sometimes unnecessary because most of the times we were not doing anything but hanging around.
Equipments and computer programs are very very old. They were just wasting their time and money to upgrade the oldest systems.
Supervisors love some lazy people and they were able to use longer lunch breaks, use cell phones, make overtime (more than 10 hours in a week for no reason). But if any other people stay for more than an hour, they need to file a document to give a reason.
It was a very terrible experience for me.
