Good pay. Bad management

Pros

Great pay. Remote work allows for flexibility. Amazing talented colleagues

Cons

Management on the people team is horrible. Most of the St management and Director level management worked together at prior companies so it’s very clique. Those are the same employees being promoted with out having the experience to lead teams. Very cut throat environment. Little to no chance of being promoted if you are not part of the clique. People of color are not promoted and are not giving the space to be their true self.

Pros

Opendoor has a strong push to providing employment to underrepresented groups. They offer fair compensation for the positions, and many remote positions.

Cons

While they are a real estate company, they operate primarily as a fintech company. All the e-team is composed of people from wall street and Amazon, so the real estate side of things is purely secondary.
