Bullying and bad product.

Pros

Base salary and year-end bonus was nice (more than expected)! Unlimited visits to the MOMA was also a nice perk.

Cons

There was a sorority-like culture amongst the large group of female employees at Old Navy corporate and if you didn't play the part, or if you challenged ideas, then you were frowned upon. There was a fake attitude that was displayed in a group settings and bullying in smaller groups. I raised a concern to HR and they were completely oblivious to what was going on. Then, when I learned that other colleagues had also gone to HR and expressed they same issues, once again, they explained, "we've never received any complaints like this before?" I found myself trying to hang -in-there and modify how I worked and interacted with the team, but this got me nowhere, and found myself running to the bathroom to hide & cry in silence. I eventually left the company, which was long overdue, but my memories there were nothing miserable. Also, most of the product is overly-designed...you're not reinventing the wheel, just make cool stuff that people actually want wear.

Pros

My only pro is the shuttle from 2 Folsom.

Cons

- Hierarchical environment you are not allowed to talk to people above your title. This lets me know that at least in my department the company will never grow. Job titles don’t mean you know it all, just means you been here a long time. I was instantly able to tell the people who have worked at ON. They have an arrogance about them, but when it comes down to it they wouldn’t last at a different company because they are not team players. - Disorganized, I do not understand how any work here done here. - Too much red tape for a process that could be made so simple. I come from a more collaborative environment so everyday here is making me wish I never left my old job. It only took a month for my team to tell me how it really was. - My first DAY I learned that 3 people quit and then in subsequent weeks multiple people left. - Promotions are non existent, I was basically told the only way to get promoted is for someone to leave the position first. I’m sorry what?! - Lastly, you have to take out your own trash. Still the most absurd thing in a corporate office environment I’ve had to do.

Toxic work environment of indecisiveness which drives an inefficient amount of work and a corporate monopoly. Little chance to progress.
