Hello – Thank you for your review and your comments. We’re continuously working on initiatives to enhance our company’s culture, values, ideation, communication, and employee value proposition. We benchmark all compensation with Nestlé USA as well as a broad base of CPG and retail companies who are our competition. This benchmarking is done at the position level. I can assure you our salaries are quite competitive. If you have concerns about your package, please speak to your manager or ManCom member about it. On education, we have an extensive catalog of offerings in our iLearn system which include blended training courses from Nespresso USA, Nespresso HQ, Nestlé courses and external resources using our 70-20-10 development model. Additionally, our individual development system (PDGs) are geared to putting each employee in the “driver’s seat” of their own development. Please speak to our Learning & Development Manager, and she can help better explain the options to you. Please share your concerns with the people I have mentioned above, and I’m hopeful we can improve your experience. Thank you. Guillaume Le Cunff President @ Nespresso USA

Pros

The benefits here are outstanding. You will find that the company really does care about the safety of its employees, their health and overall wellness. Coffee, snacks and fun events are endless (sometimes to a point where its distracting actually)

Cons

You really need to have thick skin to work here. I agree with the other person who wrote about corporate below in the reviews. It seems like a lot of the employees here DO have that clock in-clock out mentality. When you first start, you will be optimistic and excited to become a part of something great. What you will soon learn though, is that this company is ridden with favoritism, bullying and cliques. The people who have worked here for a long time have a crazy chip on their shoulder and are extremely hard on anyone who is new and excited to be here. There's no hope- it's obvious that it's a deep rooted culture that basically causes someone to be way too embarrassed to stand out or do well in fear of the way they'll be treated by others. Your coworkers are basically hazing you in hopes you'll become as unhappy as they are- and trust me, as much as you don't want it to, it works. What's most saddening is every once in a while, a high level executive, like the President or one of the Vice Presidents, may pass you in the hallway and smile at you, giving you a whimpering feeling of once upon a time when you believed in the company, stood for its values and felt lucky to be a part of its potential to be great in the US Market. There are just too many unqualified and unhappy people in positions whose attitude, choices and behavior directly effect other positions. Your potential employees who can be great then become just as jaded as your already jaded employees.

Pros

Free lunch, intermittent (but often) swag giveaways, free coffee every month for your home, great machine discounts.

Cons

Innovation is discouraged, a lot of people seem to be complacent and live by a "clock-in/clock-out" policy, not everyone has drive or ambition, you can easily be swallowed by the red tape and long overly corporate time tables for promotions, raises, and bonuses.

Hello, thank you for your comments. While I respect your point of view, I don’t share the same thinking. Our people are very passionate and engaged. I can feel this energy in the company from our people. Yes, there may be some people who may not be; however, I see this as a very small percentage. At Nespresso USA, innovation is one of our core values and important to our success. An example of this is the launch of DELIGHT. Its purpose is to collect innovative ideas from our Coffee Specialists in Boutiques and the CRC, and put them into practice to better serve our customers and employees. At corporate level, employees can freely bring ideas to the table to be discussed with their managers and me. Our company’s practice is to conduct annual performance evaluations, and from these results, provide salary increases, pay bonuses, and do any promotions on a scheduled yearly basis. Many companies in the US including Nestlé follow this approach. In addition, our Omni-Channel teams also have quarterly bonus payouts to be align with our business results. In my view, we have a strong rewards practice. Thank you for your feedback. Guillaume Le Cunff President @Nespresso USA
