I have been with The Council for more than two years and must say this place has grown so toxic they should be distributing face masks to employees as we walk through the door each morning. The other "poor" reviews are on the money - this place only cares about money...theirs! Upper management is manipulative and will turn tables on very talented people to make them feel as if they are doing wrong. The ones who will call you on lack of "accountability" are the most highly "unaccountable" people in the organization. Three times in the past two years I have gone to HR to discuss issues and seek support, only to get notes back "We don't know what to do" if you're lucky enough to get a response at all. I feel for the CEO who is spending so much money (hundreds of thousands of dollars I think) and effort on culture change for group of people who have no genuine interest in improving. Instead, everyone walks on egg shells, is defensive, and afraid afraid to speak the truth. The CEO has no idea how toxic and demeaning those in management can be. If you enjoy working with people you can't trust; perhaps this place is for you. If not, run away fast!!!
