The National Safety Council saves lives by preventing injuries and deaths eliminates preventable deaths at work, in homes and communities, and on the roads through leadership, research, education and advocacy.
The NSC is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to educating Americans on safety and health and stopping as many of the millions of preventable injuries a year as possible. NSC and its 45 local chapters comprise members from more than 51,000 business, academic, government, labor, and community service organizations. It provides information, education, and training to its members and member's employees on injury statistics and prevention. The group provides consulting services on safety program evaluation and development, incident investigation, and hazard recognition.
