Pros

Comparing my working experience in small and large preschool operators with NTUC First Campus, the latter has clear work structure, supportive culture, learning and development opportunities, good staff welfare and constant updates to the curriculum.

Cons

Having to balance centre operations and adapting to the changes in curriculum. With the large staff strength and layout of the centre, I need to find time to mentor my staff and ensure there is professional development.

I started my ECCE journey as a Trainee Teacher in My First Skool through the Place and Train Programme. The culture in NTUC First Campus feels like a body of total strangers coming together to create the warm, fuzzy feeling to make the dream work. In short, from strangers to friends to family. It also has strong support network and teaching resources available. Credits should also be given to the curriculum team as they provide us with well-detailed curriculum framework and guidelines every term so that we can better write our Weekly Planned Activities. Besides, NFC certainly has the resources and support for Teachers to fall back on whenever they encounter problems with work.

I re-joined because of the structure , leadership, curriculum, benefits and staff welfare in the company. In addition, I was given to opportunity to attend courses which allowed me to gain more knowledge and skills that are necessary for teaching the children.

Cons

Having left for 2 years, I had to learn and be familiar with the latest curriculum in My First Skool.
