Pros

Staff are friendly and cooperative with one another. The school was under a good leader who is passionate to enhance the quality of the centre.

Cons

Too many community events which adds on to the teaching load.

High workload, high expectations.

Pros

Great colleagues! Able to choose the location of school that is nearest to your home!

Cons

High workload. Teacher to student ratio are often not met. Teachers are overworked with taking care of children's daily well-being and safety. Class ratio is too big. Insufficient time to complete admin work and lesson preparations.

Pros

This is a huge organisation so there are endless possibilities and lots of good support provided by experienced colleagues. There is training every term for teachers and a guide to almost everything there is to being a teacher in First Campus. Most colleagues I have met are extremely forthcoming with providing help but this probably differs from centre to centre. Extremely good benefits (healthcare, flexible benefits) They also have random events for staff to enjoy themselves. One year they paid for everyone's entrance to Universal Studios and this year, all staff are entitled to a night's stay in Batam and a 30 min fish spa and shoulder massage!

Cons

Because this is a big organisation, I've noticed that people who are unable to perform are "supported" by the company aka they are hard to get rid of. (You could think of it as a pro if you want to be lazy) So, for me, these people who are unable to perform their roles and responsibilities become a burden to others, and they seem to be burden that is unable to be ridden of easily. These "lazy" people take a toll on others who perform well.
