Pros

- Friendly, down to earth associates - Learn a lot about retail and customer service - Promotion/recognition for hard work. Just show them that you care - Customers are nice for the most part - Managers are very willing to teach/educate you if you ask them questions - Holiday/overtime pay

Cons

- Working 8-9 hours a day and only getting an unpaid 30min break - Miscommunication among store management and associates - Lack of training - Lazy/rude/disrespectful managers - Managers expect you to finish a task in a short amount of time while being the main cashier in addition to providing customer assistance on the floor - Not flexible/understanding to employees' availability - Manager title with low pay and heavy workload

Pros

If it isn't peak time you get lots of time off comp and personal days, you can even use your sick days to go to doctors appointments. Opportunity to grow with the company they are always adding new positions. Recieve sales plan bonus if plan is achieved every quarter.

Cons

Cons are greater than good if your a manager and you don't have a janitor at your store get ready to clean toilets, vacuum, windex, dust, change light bulbs, mop, and sweep around the outer perimeter of your store so the store doesn't get a ticket from sanation. Can't call out if your sick because who would cover your shift? Usually there's only 3 manager per building. Pay is very low been there for 4 years and still not even close to $40,000 a year. We are a family owned company but Mitchell insists on being open on thanksgiving.
