Pros

Some of the general staff are loveliest people. Very knowledgable and so hard working given the awful working environment.

Cons

The management are some of the worst people I've met in my life, let alone worked with. You were expected to perform at standards that are almost impossible to attain and when you get there you won't get any thanks. Management are of such poor quality that their lack of ability to people manage resorts in attempts to fear monger staff by shouting about them in earshot. So unprofessional that they don't even hide discussing mercer employees confidential personal information with clients (such as reasons for long term sick absence). It was such a shame as I was so excited to join the company and was more than let down. After just over half a year with the company they wanted me to give 3 months notice, even though I was a relatively inexperienced administrator!

Pros

I cannot think of a single one. If you like working at a woke, relentlessly far-left company (MMC) that capitalizes "Black" and lowercases "white" (in case you missed the point, there is literally a black-only "Race Council" and a scholarship and internship program ONLY for black students (illegal?)...and the company BRAGS about discriminating against other kids!) then maybe this is the place for you. I've been at this firm a LONG time and the violent leftward shift in the culture has been jarring. Used to be your views were your own business. Now you have to worship at the woke altar.

Cons

Marsh McLennan is undergoing a massive, hugely disorganized reorganization. Mercer is now effectively an empty shell: it is a brand, nothing more, with Marsh, an insurance broker, running the show. You see, MMC posted record profits, so the genius-level "leadership" decided it was time for a change that involved stealth layoffs decimating Mercer. An HR consultant that can't lay off its people fast enough. At least my MMC stock is going up as a result.
