-Executive leadership was terrible - the CEO seems to not give a care and never visits any satellite offices. -Overall there is a feeling that people don't matter to this company or to the execs - they laid off a lot of key people and promoted some people who are dead weight (but good yes-men). -They started out with a lot of energy and excitement over becoming a 'startup' after leaving Vision Critical, but this was wasted quickly when everyone discovered that it wasn't a startup, it was a 'new' company with a stuffy, old-world corporate feeling. As a result, their turnover rate is incredibly high. A lot of great employees have fled and will continue to flee if they don't change things drastically.

Working at Maru/Matchbox has been by far one of my worst professional experiences. This is a company that is riddled with bureaucracy and a complete lack of investment in the health & growth of younger talent. A top heavy company that cares very little for junior level members, who are often over worked and under supported. I had on occasion witnessed a Director constantly bully, undermine and micromanage myself as well as many of my colleagues. Even after bringing this to the attention of other senior level execs, my grievances were ignored and nothing was done of this. I would urge any applicants to carefully consider working here.
