Pros

Flexible work schedule for the most part. Benefits are very good. Good HR department. Nice people. Decent vacation time given to employees.

Cons

Project management needs people with a fresh and new perspective. Hiring these types of individuals would open up a whole new world of innovation for MIT.

Pros

The ODL is moving pretty quickly in terms of projects, and has plenty lined up for some years to come. MIT is a cool place to work if you put in the effort to be connected. Managament is pretty flexible schedule-wise. There's a lot of opportunity to make a real impact.

Cons

- There's been a bit of a focus shift in the ODL over the past year. - Realistically, the work I contribute to mostly benefits residential education, rather than global access to it. - You have to be pretty active about seeking out campus events and interest groups if you want to feel like you're a real part of MIT. In the ODL, it takes a good amount of effort to not feel completely disconnected from the rest of MIT.
