Zoom call with one of the post docs in the lab where we discussed research interests on a high level, white boarded a few different approaches to solving a benchmark (ARC-AGI), as well as some basic math on fundamental concepts
3 rounds of interviews. Minimal technical assessment. Focus on past work. They were prompt with responding, on time for interviews and thorough with their work requirement and checks. I would rate the process as highly positive. The turn around time as around 3 weeks and onboarding was quick too.
I have interviewed with MIT several times. Always the interviewers seem miserable. I've never left an interview with them wanting to work with them. They also never close out applications. You will interview with them and then never hear from them again.
