Working with an extremely diverse group. Exposure to interesting research and science projects known world wide. Ability to participate in activities, clubs and volunteer opportunities, typically open to only students. Environment of encouragement and appreciation of all employees through rewards and recognition programs.

Cons

Administration/management needs to be more transparent within each department of lab center.

Pros

Great career resources for professional development and alumni networking for post-docs. Offers 401K plan for post-doc ASSOCIATES, but not for FELLOWS. Good medical center and overall kind people around the campus to work with. Pays 1/2 of the monthly T-pass.

Cons

Almost no work-life balance, depending on the lab you work on stress can be higher than the average research institution. Compensation of post-docs is low like all places, but it is especially negative factor when you consider how expensive cost of living in this city.
