Pros

Good pension match, ok salary

Cons

Diabolical mismanagement of the technology function which Vincent is happy to hide his head in the sand about. Making decisions with zero due diligence is a bad look and then doubling down on those decisions even though everyone can see it's a bad decision is even worse. They've quietly reversed a few recent decisions, but it's really poor leadership when you can't own up to your mistakes and admit that you got it wrong and take steps to avoid doing so again the future. The values are a complete and utter joke. Multiple people have reported unethical behaviour of leadership to whistleblower/ombuds functions and been quickly dispatched of in the next reorg which leads to a culture of fear and yes-men.

Pros

Great benefits, pension, and HR support. My immediate leadership team is fantastic, both line managers and the heads of department. I have never worked in a more engaged, collaborative, and productive team.

Cons

The “car crash” management from the most senior leadership leaves so much to be desired. No due diligence and discovery regarding what’s working well and what isn’t. Pre-conceived opinions executed upon by the senior IT leadership. The “Platform Operating Model” is NOT the answer to everything! Excellent teams were delivering much, if not all of what is needed, Yet the leadership have proceeded to demolish them, making all the people redundant without a plan to go forward. You are losing trust as an employer, along with so many talented teams and people. Whatever happened to those Maersk values?

Pros

Brought onto A.P. Moller MAERSK when they took over Senator International - only benefit was still being able to work from home while they worked on opening a new office location.

Cons

Have been in Logistics/Freight Forwarding for 5 years and this was by far the worst company I've worked for. When offered position it was advertised as non-exempt and could work OT, but a couple months in the department announced only 1 hour of OT could be worked per paycheck and it had to be pre-approved by management. Worked in the BMW-ATL division and management was not good to concealing favoritism towards other coworkers. Had to file an official compliant against my manager which was handled by an HR Firm MAERSK acquired - took almost a month for them to reach out to me and nothing was done to investigate all the substantial evidence I gave them proving working in a toxic/hostile work environment. The HR employee assigned to my case wanted me to provide all other employee names/situations instead of them looking into it. End result was them making the manager aware of which behaviors they had were unacceptable and me being fired - having to take legal actions against company.
