Pros

Brought onto A.P. Moller MAERSK when they took over Senator International - only benefit was still being able to work from home while they worked on opening a new office location.

Cons

Have been in Logistics/Freight Forwarding for 5 years and this was by far the worst company I've worked for. When offered position it was advertised as non-exempt and could work OT, but a couple months in the department announced only 1 hour of OT could be worked per paycheck and it had to be pre-approved by management. Worked in the BMW-ATL division and management was not good to concealing favoritism towards other coworkers. Had to file an official compliant against my manager which was handled by an HR Firm MAERSK acquired - took almost a month for them to reach out to me and nothing was done to investigate all the substantial evidence I gave them proving working in a toxic/hostile work environment. The HR employee assigned to my case wanted me to provide all other employee names/situations instead of them looking into it. End result was them making the manager aware of which behaviors they had were unacceptable and me being fired - having to take legal actions against company.

Pros

I used to love working here. I love the people I work with. The level of clients we get to work with is great. National, International brands.

Cons

Frequent reorganizations, salaries are not even keeping up with inflation (which is not a "merit" increase, additional responsibilities for no additional compensation, frequent layoffs and offshoring. When layoffs occur, there are always several positions / responsibilities that are not backfilled and no longer owned by anyone. Changing work from home / hybrid / full time back in office policies continue to change. Employees no longer trust the leadership. There is no stability. There is no incentive to do great work. It has not been valued.
