Pros

I wish i had something positive to say

Cons

CAUTION : HIRE AND FIRE COMPANY : I advise you to exercise caution when considering this company, specifically the NSCP Platform. It has been observed that some of the managers and directors within the organization exhibit a lack of technical competence, and the company follows a hire-and-fire policy, leading to an unstable work environment. Moreover, there seem to be issues related to ego and abusive behavior among management , creating a toxic atmosphere that hampers personal and professional growth. Office politics also appear to be prevalent, making it challenging to focus on actual work. If you're content with maintaining your current salary package without any growth opportunities, then this company might be suitable for you. However, it's essential to note that upper management appears disconnected from the day-to-day affairs, potentially leading to an inadequate understanding of the company's internal situation. In light of these factors, it may be prudent to consider other employment options that prioritize a healthier work environment, professional growth, and a more supportive leadership team.

Pros

Great company which supports the community

Cons

Since the CTIO started technology is falling apart at the seams. 7 restructures in 5 years, promoting nobody who challenges and weak technology leads who have no leadership or people management capability. Subjective leadership and loss of great talent and people leaders. Bringing in friends and promoting them fast. CTIO cashed in shares within 3 days of receiving them as annual bonus so clearly buys into Maersk values- not! Trying to build industry standard software when fundamental systems need standardisation and consolidation e.g. ERP. 50% of operating keep the lights on just made redundant globally.

Pros

The people I worked with and my supervisors where phenomenal. I couldn't have asked for coworkers or supervisors for my first job out of college. The company does a lot for their employees like potlucks, birthday celebrations, pizza parties, and an annual Christmas party. There's room for growth and movement within departments. If "Customer Service Rep" is on your resume, other future employers think "wow you did chromed service, you can do anything" (speaking from experience).

Cons

The job itself is extremely difficult. When I started, I joined the import group and took anywhere from 60-90 phone calls all day. Some calls are easy, but some people will yell at you for 10 minutes. It was a 9 hour day, 1 hour unpaid lunch, and two 15 minute breaks (in the AM and then PM). I couldn't stand being yelled at all day or listening to someone cry because they might lose their job if they don't have a container delivered. It's an extremely tough job.
