Pros

Company car for personal use

Cons

Poor wages, no work/life balance, very clicky atmosphere, no management support, managers will happily throw you under a bus, poor commission structure, long hours, shorter hours in some branches for same money meaning your on less money than hours when worked out hourly. Pros

The team I worked with was amazing! They helped me train for the job and was there to support me during my time at Leaders.

Cons

I would not recommend Leaders Estate Agents to anyone. The manager I had at the time was very disrespectful and patronising. As soon as I handed in my notice I was treated differently to the rest of the team and was made to move offices to another city. I was told to drive my own car for viewings (in my contract it stated I would be driving a company car) and would receive the money back. After leaving the business, the company told me without providing them with a receipt for the fuel I will not get my money back. However while I was still in the business, my manager told me there would be no problem receiving this money back. I did not get a receipt for my fuel as at the time I was not aware I would be driving my own car for viewings! This is a ridiculous policy and I am very disappointed with the way I was treated by Leaders Estate Agents. I would advise anyone looking for an estate agent to avoid Leaders Estate Agents. There are many other estate agents out there who will treat you with more respect and professionalism.

Pros

There was nothing positive about working for Leaders. It gives off a very good image but it’s all false.

Cons

If your face fits you will do well. If you keep your opinions to yourself you will do well. Bullying is rife from managers to directors and HR are not interested. Personal Relationships outside of work between staff members made situations very uncomfortable especially Directors with staff they manage….very unprofessional. Only interested in making staff miserable by setting unrealistic targets well for some! Others (in relationships with Directors) were okay….no pressure at all…as I said if your face fits all will be okay.

Thank you for your review. We are deeply concerned about the issues you mentioned regarding bullying and uncomfortable situations. Such behaviour is unacceptable and goes against our values. We encourage open communication and respect among all team members, regardless of their position. We also take any complaint received extremely seriously within HR as we strive to do our part in making sure the working environment within the Group is the best possible and are not shy in addressing any issues identified that go against our values. Sophie have spoken to her team and we do not have any record of a complaint involving a relationship being made in the past 12 months from any branch in the South. Although personal relationships within work are not forbidden, there is a requirement to declare these to HR and local management to ensure that these can be monitored in order to make sure that these do not impact the workplace or professionalism in any way. We appreciate that sharing details can be daunting but if we’re not aware of situations then we cannot act to address the issues in question. Our Group HR Manager Sophie would therefore like to speak with you in confidence. If you feel comfortable with reaching out, please email swiseman@lrg.co.uk Thank you. Razna – HR Department
