Pros

Social commitment towards kids and benefits

Cons

The constant changes and reorganizations instituted by the new president and the EVP here in the Teaneck office are a morale downer. The senior management is dominated overwhelmingly by rootless Japanese expats who have not a clue about the people culture of companies here. The formula for survival is simple: Be servile if you can, or keep mum if you can't, because the Japanese can do no wrong. Information is not shared freely and everything seems to be a state secret. If you ask questions, you are black listed as "negative." There is overwhelming consensus that things are rotten at Teaneck.

Gangsters run the company

Pros

Medical and dental benefits are affordable

Cons

I work at the distribution center in Kentucky. The place is run by a gangster who has little to no respect for employees. Staff on the shop floor are demeaned, mocked at and ridiculed constantly. Many of us have complained but nothing is done other than giving the gangster a slap on the wrist because of his godfather in the Headquarters in Teaneck, NJ namely the Finance Vice President who should be running a "Joe's Crab Shack". The Japanese management for many years pays just lip service to this place and turn a blind eye to the misery that's happening here.

Pros

If you suck up enough you'll get a raise.

Cons

The company spent untold hundreds of thousand of dollars to bring all the U.S. staff together today to preach some new gospel of "now we're all together." They are clueless. A bunch of zombie presenters reading from scripts describing department functions and responsibilities. There isn't one person in the whole company who can speak without reading from a script? Waste of time and money.
