Pros

Very flexible scheduling, fun people to work with, humor from managers, a great job to start out with, especially for high school students

Cons

A little recognition for hard work, you have to be in a certain "Circle" to move up, sometimes they wont let you leave once the store is closed, more often then not, they expect you to close(which is at 10pm), then re-open the next day(8am), regardless of if you have school, a second job or etc., you'll be required to stay long after you shift has ended due to other workers not making it there on time, you have to clean other workers messes, and, finally, they schedule a minimal amount of people to work and they would get off at different shifts which would leave you to deal with a lot(and I mean a lot!) of customers by your self for you would be the only one working.

Pros

Overall, the job was very simple. It was very easy to make money. My manager was very good at giving me the hours off that I needed. I am a student so I got all breaks and holidays off. Some of the people were very friendly.

Cons

Oh where to begin. I first started in cashiering and then all of a sudden got roped into women's apparel which I had NO training on what to do, I was just expected to do it. On the days that I didn't request off I got LONG 9 hour days. I am a college student and I only requested part-time and made this very clear to them. Shop Your Way Rewards was the ONLY thing that they cared about. If we didn't get a certain amount of day the management would make it clear as to how mad they were at their employees! Very frustrating! Very disorganized. Customers would have to frequently wait for checkout or for questions to get answered.

Pros

as maganger you get paid a decent wage unless you have student loans to pay back, which you will bc they only want college grads for management now. You'll have so many diffcult situations to deal with that on your next job interview you will be able to answer any " tell me about a time when..." questions

Cons

bc you have student loans you will still be at home with parents or struggling if you move out on your own, older non-college grad managers try to belittle college grad mgrs bc they think they are trying to steal their jobs. Highly stressful work place upper mgmt horrible people, whole company is a mess
