Pros

Managers willing to work with your school schedule and allow for time off requests. Easy to apply.

Cons

Force you to pressure customers in to any promotions they have going on, march of dimes, rewards cards and credit cards. They schedule you depending on your numbers, and if they are low you will constantly be reminded and given horrible scheduling. Customers will constantly complain to you and demand to be left alone about the promotions.

Pros

Many very hard working people

Cons

Job always feels threatened. Everyday we're scrambling as fast as we can afraid of infractions. Many people at my work have been getting sick from each other because they are afraid to take a day off. One person came into work sick and now 4 of their co-workers got sick. Three family members of those co-workers got sick as well, two of them being children. (I'm sure more have gotten sick that i don't know of). Two of my coworkers called in the night before to take the day off because their kids were sick, they then received infractions.....FOR TAKING A SICK DAY!!! I myself got sick and had to go to work with a fever of 103 F, when the night before i had night sweats that soaked my sheets and kept vomiting blood. My family wanted me to go to the hospital....but how can I? I couldn't afford loosing my job and then having to pay medical bills.....

Pros

Most of the other part-time associates are very friendly and the female managers are better once you get to know them and there are a lot of opportunities to work with and assist customers.

Cons

The number of hours you recieve to work depends mainly on how many Rewards Card sign ups you can get, opportunity for growth or advancement is basically nonexistent, the store is poorly maintained due to fewer staff being hired and worked than needed, they hire the bare minimum of employees as "full time" workers and an overall depressing invironment all contribute to the "cons" side of the list.
