Pros

I love teaching and working with kids.

Cons

Toxic work environment, directors care more about whats on your boards than the content that your kids are learning. Boards are to be changed bi-weekly with each theme. They also want you ro create your own decorations for the entire room to go along with the theme as well. You can only leave them up for 2 weeks though. If your room doesn't "scream the theme" there is an issue regardless of how much the kids are learning. Everyone's room isn't held to the same standard though. The classes closest to the front door get held to a different standard. Anddddd finally the pay is low

Pros

Offers food almost everyday and the curriculum is super organized. Weekends off and amazing benefits

Cons

Too many to list. I was only working for 2 months before they fired me. Before you judge let me tell you my side. When I wasn’t interviewed I was suppose to be a floater/assistant teacher. I was hired with only a gymnastics coach experience. The age group I was in was 4-5 year olds. I only had 3 days of training before they threw me in. Little did I know that they had me become a teacher. Like no assistance at all. I was thrown into it with out much knowledge of what to do. I begged for help to many times to count and maybe once in a blue moon someone did. After awhile I ended up begging for my original title. I asked if someone could come in and be a teacher so I could assist. They said no because they use all of the hours they could give. I asked if I could move to a different classroom and they said no. So I was stuck. I pushed through but the kids kept walking all over me. The pulled me out during the middle of teaching and they fired me. It wasn’t anything I did specifically but it’s because the parents were concerned that the kids were to rowdy for me. Which I’m not gonna lie is true. They didn’t give me a warning or a write up like it wasn’t anything I was doing wrong. They set me up to fail and I have a family to support. They let me and those kids down. I Not mad or disappointed at corporate only management is to blame.

Pros

It's a good job for building relationships with families and watching children learn and grow is intrinsically rewarding.

Cons

This company lacks leadership, direction and vision. It could care less about its employees, freezes expenses around the holidays and squeezes every last dollar out of its parents. Upper management makes it impossible to run a quality center with its ridiculous labor expectations. This company has no idea how to run a business.
