Pros

Free snacks, free food, a lot of time to socialize

Cons

No diversity, seems like The category leads want one type of Race within their team and hires a ethnic member once in a while to make themselves feel good or just to up the ethnic quota. Feels like college clicky social groups.

Pros

Amazing experience and very educational. An open gate into the world of E-commerce. A perfect position for recent college grads. Amazing office. Amazing people. Perfect opportunity to become more well rounded and build out your business tools.

Cons

No clear career trajectory. Almost feels like they want people to leave after a year or so but a problem they are actively working on. If you didn’t go to a “top 20” school it is much harder to get hired. Breeding ground for the privileged.

Pros

- Office has river views - Reasonably competitive compensation

Cons

Disclaimer: your experience may vary depending on the team / group. The points below may be specific to my team: - Very product and marketing driven; engineering does not seem like a priority, just a tool for short-term use - The culture / direction above ends up resulting in a lot of short-term thinking on engineering: we rush things, don't take the proper time to test stuff, and it bites us in the future with bugs or poor code quality - Engineering leadership does not seem intent on addressing the above issues - No focus on following engineering best practices, having good documentation or being well organized; the priority is just to ship features quickly and fight fires (i.e. production issues) Issues likely relevant to everyone at Jet: - Product and brand seems directionless since acquisition, and we're now trying to pivot in a way that doesn't make sense - Executive leadership at Jet seems non-existent; no clear goals, no clear plans, no justification for the vague goals

Thanks for your review, it's good to get feedback that we can work on together. There has been a lot of change within tech which can cause a lot of the concerns that you're bringing up. Being well-organized is a topic you've brought up and something we're really focused on in Q1 for Jet Tech. We know that with the tools we have we can set clear goals and expectations moving forward as well. I hope you’re able to attend the Walmart Labs Town Hall next week and please reach out to myself or your direct manager to talk through these things. Jeremy K., EVP & CTO, Walmart Labs
