Pros

There are absolutely no pros to this job

Cons

They lie to you in the initial interview about the position, make it seem like you’re training to be a manager & within the next few months you’re gonna be moving up, NOT THE CASE ! - you make reservations, WASH CARS , CLEAN THE PUBLIC BATHROOMS ! - they are always short staffed because everyone quits so much so you’re forced to work open to close most days & they pay you on the 15th on 30th of the month so you don’t get paid for your overtime. I worked 93 hours my last pay period and did not get ANY overtime pay !! Oh, and they lie about the vacation time - you get a week vacation time AFTER A YEAR ! & you get NO SICK TIME

Toxic Work Culture

Pros

Day Care- Over Priced, Café- Over Priced

Cons

Hertz is the most toxic company I have ever worked for. It is being run into the ground by unqualified, uncaring upper Management. The Company likes to hire graduates right out of College with no work experience. They hope that they do not know HR laws, and think working 50 to 60 hours a week is appropriate. The Company is headed towards bankruptcy. They currently have multiple lawsuits, hiring freeze, and bi-weekly job lay offs. You will be expected to work 7 days a week, get a new Manager every 3 months, job description changed, salary changed. These changes will always be for the worst. Each new Manager will be on a higher power trip than the last. They will take pleasure in making your work day a living hell. Any good review about Hertz was written by an employee that was threaten to do so. I know, as I was threatened multiple times. If you are looking for a dysfunctional, unpleasant, and unprofessional place to work than look no further.

Pros

Free car, free gas, great sales experience both inside and outside sales.

Cons

Long hours 7am to 6 PM, you are always short handed, employee turnaround is often so you always have to train a new employee. You never get fully staffed so as a manager on a salary rate you end up working most of the shifts which are 5 days a week and Saturdays if you have no one to cover. Top management does not care if you are short handed they expect you to perform a 5 man job even if there is only 1 employee. Bonus were always changing so you never knew how go bonus. And they kept getting lower for managers and their employees
