Pros

- Those few heroes who behave better than waiting for their next paycheck. - Corona Crisis means the money is just pouring in for online businesses.

Cons

If you're a high performer Techie who loves your work and wants to make a difference, read this first, lest you be the next one writing a negative review: - Management doesn't keep their promises as early as contract signing. Better to record all your meetings or be ready to be lied to and accused making things up. - Management is just a bunch of careerists with barely if any qualifications (Agile, ITIL, PMP). - Be ready to see money being squandered by buckets and not be able to do a thing in terms of preventing it anyhow. Any attempts will ruffle many feathers. - Do you like to overachieve? Too bad, be ready to hear things like: "everyone is equal" or "I don't look at differences between people". Seriously. - You realize it's bad and you're leaving? Get used to the idea that your reference letter will be held ransom for months and to suck, despite being promised to your face otherwise on both accounts. - Oh, if you doubt all this, the turnover rates won't lie. If you still join, ask around until someone gives you the numbers. It's likely confidential information, so I can't disclose it here.

Horrible place to work. I was treated like garbage, patronized often and made to feel like a fool if I didn't know something regarding an industry I was brand new to. I asked a question on my 4th day and was told, "I really don't have time to hold your hand through this"...it was a yes or no question regarding a very unique shipping model I had only received a brief intro on. They're still running like a start-up trying to fix problems that should be month long initiatives in 3 weeks then wondering why things fail again. Management was a DISASTER! It was filled with petty, immature, rude people and not to mention the rumors and gossip that would go around about how people got to their roles. I was expected to travel constantly, with little to no notice, and couldn't even get a company card. I had to pay off my credit card bill on my own then they'd constantly be delayed on my reimbursement!! Numbers were constantly showing a failing business then employees were expected to manipulate the data to show growth. In my short time there 4 people ere fired with no notice and I can't even count how many people quit. Oh and the interview process and job posting could not have been farther from what the actual job required. I accepted a job and soon realized it was a position completely different from how they made it seemed and I would have NEVER taken the job if it was described correctly. I was reprimanded for not having experience with a particular system that I never claimed to have, and wasn't on the job description.

We work to train our employees and Managers so they are prepared for their roles and recently developed a Manager Fundamental Program for our managers to develop their skills. Communication is a major focus at HelloFresh and we have developed a cadence that we hope creates more transparency: we have quarterly Town Hall meetings to share business updates, and encourage regular 1:1 meetings with managers to cascade information to every employee. We aim to be as transparent as possible and strive to help all employees understand our business and how decisions are made. We are also constantly trying to improve our internal processes including our company cards and expense reimbursements to make the systems more reliable for employees. While it sounds like there were some areas for improvement during your tenure on the team, we appreciate you sharing this feedback with us, and we have passed it directly along to the people leadership team here at HelloFresh.

• Use ABN loophole to avoid paying a fair wage + super annuation to employees (is this even legal?) • Entirely commission based, even though hours full-time • Exploits those on working holiday visas, who are just looking for a reasonable job and pay • Door to door sales, outside all day long • No line between the social, professional, and possibly offensive • Highest turnover of any job I've experienced • Did I mention you don't get paid unless you make a sale? • Weird that there's very few Aussies(if any) in a company that emphasizes locally sourced food. • Overall, everything about this operation seems shady and I'm surprised more haven't taken notice

We know that there is always room for improvement and we want to make sure that contracting with HelloFresh is perceived as a positive experience. We do understand the concerns you mentioned regarding commission-based working arrangements. The commission-based model that many companies use is aimed at rewarding contractors for their results and performance. It is no way our motivation to 'exploit' those on a working holiday visa. We put some effort into outlining all conditions regarding commissions and base pay prior to contractors commencing. We do understand that working in a sales role can be quite challenging.
