Pros

Strong work culture with nice people in smaller offices. Good training initiatives and plans.

Cons

Poor pay, long hours, apply an army like approach to try and break down its employees and mould them into Hays machines.

Pros

- Reputable Company, when you mention to people that you work at Hays they recognise the company. - Good Location to Work at

Cons

- A lot of micromanagement - Don't really value employees efforts - Not much work/life balance or flexibility working within that space - The IT structure is probably one of the worse in my experience in the industry (very disorganised) > no solution to solving things (only providing bandaid solutions) - Management don't really care about their employees only caring about results. - No room for progression or improvement For the time I worked there, I did not enjoy it. I saw people come and go within the Sydney office and it's proof that there's something wrong.

Pros

Working with some great clients Great company for rewarding you on your wins.

Cons

Sales Managers/Directors have limited people management experience. Big billers DO NOT mean great people managers. Consultants work long hours and have unrealistic targets set. You're definitely NOT allowed to take a full hour lunch. It a quick grab and go! The culture is you work through your lunch and late! Consultants can be aggressive and hostile - i'd describe the Hays culture as 'boiler room' . If you don't cut the mustard or management isn't keen on you (there are clear management favorites) you're out the door. There is a high turnover of new recruiters.
