Pros

Haven't been forced in the office for over a year. The vacation package isn't terrible

Cons

Very corporate, very political, instead of caring about what you do to advance the team goals, you are told to sell yourself to other teams to get recognized outwardly. Lots of attitude towards people lower than VP from people higher than VP. They hire tons of upper management that don't really do much and leave the people doing the work unsupported and overworked. They don't invest in young people's careers, everyone in management is a middle aged white man. They talk about diversity and do nothing to actually get there. They talk about inclusivity and do nothing to be inclusive. It's all just buzzing to try to make people think they are doing good in the world. They aren't. They also don't give raises above inflation (typically lower than 3-4%), so if you plan for staying longer than a year make sure you get a pay rate you can live on for a while. They say you'll get a 401k match but it only fully vests after 5 years in the company. Don't waste 5 years at this place.

Pros

Great work-life balance. Opportunity to work from home 1 day/week.

Cons

No room for advancement. Sub-par salary. Sub-par benefits. 401(k) match is pathetic. No recognition. Guaranteed average year-end review to limit bonus/raises.

Pros

An excellent company for any stage in your career. The people are very knowledgeable and most are very collaborative. This is one of the few companies that really embrace diversity and inclusion; They don't just talk the talk, they walk the walk.

Cons

Work life balance can be challenging. Some of the long time managers feel if you're not working at least 50 hours per week then you're not loyal to the company. Company loyalty went out in the 70's. Some managers feel its appropriate to bad mouth former employees to clients and reinsurers. This is unprofessional behavior especially at the senior management level. The pay tends to be lower than top two competitors. The salaries don't match the titles.
