Pros

There are a lot of talented employees that work here, and working with farmers is fun.

Cons

Before Growers was purchased there were a lot of good people in management, and the team members were treated with respect. All of the people with any management experience have either been pushed out, or left. Now we’re left with inexperienced, inconsistent, and mean leadership. In my experience, it’s turned into a pretty hostile work environment. The senior leadership often uses discriminatory language. It seems that the only way to get ahead is by having a personal relationship with the leadership.

Thank you for your feedback and we are glad you enjoy working with your co-workers and the farmers. We do have concerns about your comments regarding your experience with a hostile work environment. We do not tolerate any type of harassment in the workplace, however we cannot address anything unless we are made aware of the situation. If you would please contact your HR Manager to discuss further. Thank you!

Pros

Everyone is welcoming and friendly. The CEO's office is down the hall, and his ambitious energy keeps every working hard and together. Everyone at Growers has the shared goal of helping farmers maximize their farm efficiencies. As a field technician, the company takes care of our needs while in the field, and values the work we do.

Cons

From late fall to late spring is the busy season. The various departments, especially the field operations, experience long work days, extended overnight trips, and dealings with the weather. To offset these struggles, the company keeps summers more relaxed.
