Pros

Diversity of coworkers. A sense of teamwork at all times during the day. Support from management if needing help. Knowing working here gives people a chance to get a job through the many programs Goodwill offers.

Cons

Limited advancement opportunities. they basically will only promote from within if you know all areas of the store including cashiering, donations, production, and opening/closing. Goodwill also is lacking in the salary department compared to the amount of work required.

I had a great experience working at Goodwill. They have an incredible leadership team that supports the growth of employee and the business overall.

Cons

Red Tape, meaning that change is not a quick process but that is the result of their size.

Health Insurance, 401K, Life and Disability Insurance Benefits. Working with those who have disabilities, and seeing how our store directly helps our community. Upper management treats you like a human being and not a pawn. A lot of opportunity to move up in the company.

Cons

If you do not like dirt, this is not a job for you. Can be stressful and hectic at times.
