Pros

Don't, unless you are starving. Every employee there and some management are all on state aid. P.S Goodwill is actually owned by Goldman Sachs. I would find a better place to donate.

Cons

Not being fired as soon as you are eligible for benefits. The employees are instructed to lie to the customers about many things.

Pros

The wages were far above minimum, and the work was easy.

Cons

The corporate rules were far too strict, and the experience was ruined due to that.

Pros

Strong focus on mission. Strong focus on retail driven social services. Good community of people.

Cons

High employee turnover. Low salaries and little opportunity for upward advancement. I do think Goodwill prides themselves on the # of employees they have, but they don't really take care of their own and foster an environment where people would like to stay.
