Pros

If you are a production employee (membership sales, production trainer, fitness director, and General Manager), then pay is great for position. Owner, John H. is a great owner and boss to his employees. Is available to talk to and learn from, is very reasonable and understanding.

Cons

The fitness industry in general, everywhere, requires long hours from every employee. Especially production employees and management. You will feel as though you live at the gym.

Pros

Work hard and you can make some great money. Golds has set me up for a successful future. I have learned a lot about business and about politics within the corporate world.

Cons

Young, ambitious professionals are intimidating to the more tenured associates in the Golds Gym world. They will either intentionally or unintentionally prevent you from growth, even when warranted.

Pros

Free gym membership and interaction with customers.

Cons

An exercise science degree and an advanced certification means little at Gold's Gym. Their only concern was how many sales that you could make. Some of the personal training lacked structure and was shoddy.
