Pros

Working at Gold's Gym Does have its benefits. You get a free membership as well as 2nd for a friend or family member if you are a full time employee.

Cons

At the end of the day its just a numbers game. If you're not producing enough sales in memberships or training, then don't get comfortable. They don't truly care about building a lasting relationship with their members for multiple reason: 1) They only care about getting their money, even if it means bending the truth or manipulating a situation. 2) It's mainly just a bunch of college kids who could care less about the members and the facility.

Pros

- Best pay rate in the city for personal trainers if you study and earn your credentials - Tons of education from quality managers, I feel like I can learn a lot from every superior - Fun place to work - Confidence in our brand and staff

Cons

- Pay structure is based on hours you work, which is really hard for some people who have a lot of education and want to make a lot of money part time. Some of the best trainers are battling the 25/hour a week requirement during holidays and summers. Other gyms don't have that requirement. - pay structure discourages trainers who are also group fitness instructors - many of the supplements are actually unhealthy and it is tough to support them

Pros

Free membership, free uniform, discounts at the gym's shop (minor), decent parking, plenty of responsibility, and easy hours. That is about it

Cons

Closing by yourself between 11:30pm, to 12am, depending on how much other employees earlier in the day actually did. No raises. Hires from outside. Sexist. No flexibility. Verbal abuse.
