Pros

Great office views overlooking the lake. Nice fitness center and easy access to the lake to go running/walking. Unlimited PTO (well so they claim). Free lunches on Tuesdays. Full time barista.

Cons

Oh where to start. Dysfunction is an understatement, there are WAY too many cooks in this kitchen and everyone has some sort of manager title so they have no real merit. Teams that are supposed to work together struggle to co-exist making the relationship an overall negative one. Opinions that are different are not only not welcome or considered, but you're encouraged to just keep those to yourself. "Open Floor Plan" just means everyday is a free-for-all trying to find a new desk and resetting the computer monitor to your liking. You can't personalize your desk because it likely won't be where you sit tomorrow. For an office that shuts the bathrooms down multiple times a day to clean, they NEVER have toilet paper or paper towels. There is disrespect and disregard towards other employees as well as towards clients. Save yourself the trouble and don't waste your time here. Take your talent somewhere it can be nurtured and actually appreciated.

Pros

The NYC office has a great coffee bar. Location is good.

Cons

The company is in a serious state of flux. It's run by former management consultants who change strategy several times throughout a year with little regard for rank-and-file workers. The disconnect between the c-suite and the majority of the workforce is astonishingly large for such a small company. GLG touts itself as tech company but doesn't have the tech capabilities to show for it. There's a lot of work that needs to happen to right the ship, especially in terms of client delivery, marketing, communications and the HR team, but it'll take years to change. In sum: avoid, it's a toxic workplace with an identity crisis.

Pros

You start with a class of people and a good formal on-boarding program which makes the transition easy and enjoyable. Junior-level coworkers are good company. Clear career trajectory within the company. Good starting salary with opportunity for relatively fast promotion.

Cons

Bit of a bait and switch between actual role and how role is described during interview process. Though physically close in proximity with working spaces, there is a large separation between senior leadership and junior positions with regard to culture. Company is aware of employee dissatisfaction (openly embraces high turnover saying that they "don't play the glassdoor game") and work environment is plainly toxic with use of publicly displayed tracking of individual worker performance. Skills learned and used daily are only helpful if you would like to transition to a project management or sales type roll.
