      Experienced, long-term employees are leaving in droves

      Pros

      - Pay is good - Good (but dwindling) benefits - If you live near one of the major offices, facilities are nice - Some really great people work (or worked) here

      Cons

      - Definite "butts in seats" mentality, not a good "working remotely" site - Instead of trying to keep experienced talent, will often hire contractors for short periods to stumble through projects, then let them go when project fails - Ridiculous project timelines - Benefits being slowly carved away (401K Match, Employee Stock Purchase, etc) - Fiserv name was basically bought to cover the merger with (takeover by) First Data and its tarnished past (do your own research) - Constantly shifting management tiers as though the company is trying to figure out who it is. My direct report has changed no less than 5 times in as many years.

      Caution - First Data Executives are destroying whatever was good with Fiserv culture

      Pros

      Currently have flexibility to work from home. Still have managers who care.

      Cons

      New First Data Management is killing the existing Fiserv culture, Remote positions are not being filled, work-life balance is dwindling due to pushing of sales at the expense of the ground workers and unfilled positions. Decisions that are being directed do not make sense for our working environment and there is no flexibility from senior management. Expected to work on days off and on vacation due to aggressiveness of sales.

      Fiserv's New CEO is artificially strengthening the stock price by cutting his workforce to improve expense numbers.

      Pros

      There are still some great hardworking people there.

      Cons

      Be prepared to be underwater!! Fiserv partner apps have been cut by about 50%. There has been no strategy for the cuts and Sr Management is scrambling to keep the ship afloat. External partners are being brought in to take over all major billable services. Fiserv's clients are in for a long drought of support.
