Cons
Poor insurance benefits: a company the size of Essilor should be able to offer affordable benefits. However, many employees have to purchase benefits through affordable care act because they cannot afford the monthly cost of the offered benefits. Lack of concern or care for employees: HR is so far removed that they only speak to the people causing the problems, namely, untrained managers who bully and verbally and sexually harrassed employees and peers. When the matter is brought to light then the target becomes the whistleblower. Nepotism and lack of real opportunity: employees have to either be one of the many bad actors or a relative of one in order to get promoted.
