Thank you for leaving us a review. We're proud of our teacher training programs and are glad you had a good experience. We regularly review our compensation structure and policy to be competitive in our industry. We are also consistently monitoring how we can continue to support and reward all our staff as they themselves continue to work hard. Our work hours reflect when our students and their parents are available, so they will naturally be different from regular and state schools. Thank you again for taking the time!

Pros

I don't really have anything good to say about the company.

Cons

I worked for EF Shanghai and was assigned to teach in a university. Very low pay for full-time work. Managers and office staff were often incompetent and/or loved to power trip. (Not everyone, but many.) They will try to nickel and dime you out of your year end bonus money, which is minuscule to begin with. Very exploitative company.

Pros

Good students and if your coworkers don't drink the Kool aid, you meet cool people. Literally nothing else.

Cons

Abusive hours, environment, management. The most toxic place I've ever worked. Also! If you're working or planning on working in China, training centers like EF are being banned and heavily regulated. A lot of the centers are going bankrupt or moving out, but I know EF will try to drain everything and everyone dry before it quits. There's racism left and right, the only reason you don't work the 7-12 is because nobody from overseas would agree to it (7 days a week, 12 hours a day shift), they try to get close though. Management will lie to you, restrict your movements, time off, and make moving to another job in China difficult/impossible. The illegal practices of not signing cancellation letters, keeping documents away from foreign employees, ignoring child abuse, hiring undocumented or unqualified foreign and local employees. Not worth the 10k rmb paycheck (any other training center or school will pay two or three times that)

We don't tolerate racism or discrimination of any kind and ask that if you or any other staff member experience or witness it, to please escalate and report this to deib@ef.cn and compliance.china@ef.cn for a proper investigation to take place. In addition, any staff member that feels illegal practices are taking place, should email our compliance team and or seek support from teacher.welfare@ef.cn.
