Pros

I've learned to master the art of teaching English while exhausted.

Cons

This is quite possibly the worst job for a foreigner with any credentials in Tianjin. They claim to offer a "competitive" salary for full time teachers. After speaking with several other foreign teachers in Tianjin about my salary and schedule, they promptly laughed and/or offered me a hug. In addition to being paid poorly, they will also force you to teach winter and summer courses (on top of your already tiresome schedule), which you are given a laughable amount of overtime pay for. So while other teachers are on holiday, E.F. employees will be working close to 50 hours per week with absurdly low overtime pay. In conclusion, if you fancy working more and being paid less than all of your peers, this is the job for you!

We are sorry to hear of your experiences with EF Tianjin. It is not normal for EF school to provide no production break after winter or summer courses. Please reach out to us at teacher.feedback@ef.com and we can follow up with management.

Thank you for your feedback. We are sorry to hear of your experiences with EF English First. We'd like to clarify there is on-boarding training in your first 2 weeks in China. After that, there's continuous training within your center and region. If this is not the case, please contact teacher.feedback@ef.com so we can better address your experience.

Pros

Good training and development for new teachers. In school facilities were top notch.

Cons

Working evenings and weekends mostly, so not great for social activities in the city. Summer session can be very intensive.
