Pros
There were some major issues towards the end of my time at RW but I'm choosing to give 5 stars because there's: - GREAT TRAINING for entry level recruiters - Genuine comradery - Fun company sponsored dinners/trips/activities - Opportunities to bonus - Global company so you get to meet and work with people from all over the world - Fast movement up the ladder if that's what you want - You learn how to grind and be a corporate baddie
Cons
- Prepare for absolutely zero work/life balance during the week. They're really good about honoring weekends and PTO but when you're on ...it's high pressure. - Hybrid office requirements, but salary isn't high enough to live in the city ...so you end up commuting several days a week from an affordable city which can end up being a long drive. Most of the LA office had to drive 45min - an hour each way because salary wasn't enough to live in Santa Monica/Marina del Rey (our office was in Santa Monica). - Your bonus opportunities are all group bonuses ...so your ability to earn extra $$$$ depends on other people ...and how that bonus pool is distributed is decided by your manager. So get a good relationship going with your manager or else your wallet could suffer. - Make friends with the decision makers and people with power ASAP ...it's cliquey/political and there's lots of gossip. Try your best to bond with people without revealing too much about your personal life. Everything you say and how you conduct yourself matters a lot. - Heavy/multiple layoffs in North America ...and the people who survived were the ones who politicked/made the correct friendships. - Micromanaging (you need this if you're brand new to recruitment though ...annoying once you get some experience under your belt). - Heavy emphasis on business development and sales (unrealistic performance expectations surrounding this - not enough hours in the day if you're sourcing multiple jobs!) - They say they're not KPI driven but they are 10000000% KPI driven. Hit those KPI stats weekly or you're on the fast path to losing your job.
