Typical corporate culture: Internal politics matter more than quality of work and as a result they place less qualified managers above more qualified candidates who then entrench themselves through a combination of upward brown nosing, downward hostility, and outright lying. Management is more concerned with looking good than doing good. Employee review system is tedious and dysfunctional. Too many meetings not enough action. Products and services are vastly overpriced so that longevity discount doesn't matter much in the end anyway. Pay is low vs expectations and overall company profits.
