Pros

Pros are a handful of great people and a decent discount.

Cons

The pay is better than a lot of other retail stores but employees are still underpaid for the work they do. Management cares more about sales goals and numbers than their people. They preach being an inclusive and diverse company but that wasn’t reflected in the store staff. Some decent managers but most have a poor attitude and condescending way of talking to employees, especially when people are confused about something. They definitely have favorites and underestimate the people they don’t think meet their expectations. I can’t speak for the whole company but I can say the culture at this store is trash. There is no camaraderie whatsoever. Leadership is so quick to criticize but I rarely heard a “thank you” or any positive feedback about my work. I felt like I gave ideas that were constantly met with pushback because leadership is so set in an outdated way of doing things.

Pros

The office had a good coffee machine, which employees appreciated. The cafeteria staff member was friendly and welcoming, which made the environment feel a little more positive. Opportunity to observe how long-established corporate operations function.

Cons

Management style felt very micromanaged. The management in the IT appeared heavily focused on older management methods rather than collaborative leadership. Favoritism was noticeable among certain employees and teams. Contract workers were treated differently from full-time employees, including exclusion from social events, food gatherings, and team activities. The IT teams often seemed disconnected and unwilling to support or train others properly. Communication issues were common, including employees talking negatively about coworkers behind their backs. Training and onboarding lacked structure and consistency. The workplace often felt disorganized, with unclear processes and coordination problems.
