Pros

-flexible scheduling for part-time employees; management is accommodating when you're a strong performer -fun, fast-paced environment especially during busy seasons, seasonal hires often enjoy the vibe and energy -rewarding to help customers with their shopping, store is visually appealing and employee discount is generous

Cons

-some managers are not fully equipped to inspire or support the team, which can impact employee motivation and workflow -new pos has caused challenges. mobile units work great for simple purchases, but as soon as customers want packaging, gift cards, rewards or paper receipts, transactions must be moved to a counter or fixed pos. This slows service and can create awkward situations -closing a counter has disrupted customer flow. certain areas of the store feel neglected or underused. customers often bypass mobile pos associates to find a traditional register, creating longer lines and potential lost sales -mobile and fixed POS units are prone to technical issues/connection issues, slowing down checkout and creating customer frustration

Pros

The office had a good coffee machine, which employees appreciated. The cafeteria staff member was friendly and welcoming, which made the environment feel a little more positive. Opportunity to observe how long-established corporate operations function.

Cons

Management style felt very micromanaged. The management in the IT appeared heavily focused on older management methods rather than collaborative leadership. Favoritism was noticeable among certain employees and teams. Contract workers were treated differently from full-time employees, including exclusion from social events, food gatherings, and team activities. The IT teams often seemed disconnected and unwilling to support or train others properly. Communication issues were common, including employees talking negatively about coworkers behind their backs. Training and onboarding lacked structure and consistency. The workplace often felt disorganized, with unclear processes and coordination problems.
