Pros

*Free entrance to Disneyland Parks *Looks good on resume *Worked with a few exceptional, terrific and talented people

Cons

*Turnover rate of "CTs" (Casual Temporary/Seasonal employees) is very high in this department. *Job description was misleading. It was described as a creative position, but it is primarily warehouse/assembly work. There is nothing wrong with that, but it is not what I was led to believe I was hired to do. *There is almost no chance of advancement, so there isn't much to keep employees motivated. It's a dead end for most. *Poor work/life balance. The working hours are either very early (4am or 5am start time) or very late (10pm or 12am start time). *It took nearly a year to receive overtime that was owed to several CT/Seasonal employees. This was after the employees' union stepped in and met with Disney's lawyers. *Department managers are unhelpful and hard to reach.

Pros

Everyday is an opportunity to make a family's vacation special. You will meet people from all over the world and create special memories with them. Keep in mind, if you find pleasure in entertaining people and find inspiration in the happiness of others, this job is remarkable.

Cons

Backstage, Disney is a bureaucratic nightmare full of conniving low-level managers slithering around trying to find ways to climb up the corporate ladder while looking for ways to fire cast members. These managers will literally hide behind bushes and even make up reasons to fire someone. It's very important to be on good terms with your union rep because they will protect you from these scumbags.

Pros

Its fun to work at because of the guest interaction experience and working with good people.

Cons

The leadership is a joke. The way managers are made are by attending some classes at Disney University. Most managers shouldn't be managers because they are disrespectful to their employees and are ultimately power hungry. Also, there are no benefits for part time, only full time. Even the pay is low. Cast members work hard to uphold Walt's legacy but aren't compensated that well. I think that's why there is a high turnover rate and they're always hiring.
