Pros
I get to be a part of very special moments everyday. From flower girl to vow renewals, and every special occasion between. It's great to build relationships. Closed on Christmas Eve, no mall holiday hours. Great staff within your own store, some amazing managers within the company. Best job I have ever had...changing into the worst company I have ever worked for.
Cons
I have never seen a company so hell bent on self destruction. The new ceo and team overhauled almost all management from DMs all the way through corporate and brought in all their friends. They are making a clean sweep throughput the company, knocking off people left and right. No integrity. Everything is negative feedback, even if you are hitting your sales and metrics... They want more. You are now written up over missing sales months....basically at this rate, they will turn the entire management teams soon. This company has run off into a ditch. I have never seen so many talented, amazing managers leave/let go from a company. No weekends off...company directive, no work life balance. They don't care if you have to kill yourselves to get to work in the snow...even if your county is under a "state of emergency" they expect to risk your life and your staff to open the store. While they are safe and warm in their home offices! Upper management will call you whether you are on pto to stress you out about something at the store...everything is a 5 alarm fire. These people (ceo and posse) had no idea what they were getting into with bridal. Bridal is its own beast. You need to absolutely love it to succeed. They never talk about the experience of loving the customer... It's always more $$$. Money is their only concern. Store managers are made to feel like our jobs our on the line 24/7. Luckily we still can reach out to each other for moral support...because we aren't going to get any support or pep talks from our DMs.
