Pros

Great people, great work and a feeling of home. All the attorneys for the most part are really great to work with. The majority of the partners were friendly and down to earth people. I supported 2 senior partners and 1 associate. When I was there, there were numerous events that went on throughout the year such as monthly wellness seminars, firm picnics and holiday parties. There is always room to improve your IT skills with computer training webinars offered every month by the highly competent Help Desk Training Team. DLA has great benefits such as medical, dental, vision, 401k, life, yearly merit bonus and even a turkey or champagne at Thanksgiving! DLA was awesome when I was there! I'm sure it's still 5 star quality!

Cons

They had great HR when I was there, and then they didn't. I left at the turn of new HR which brought morale down very low. Since I left, I heard there was another turn over in HR and it is once again top notch.

Pros

Century City location; nicely appointed office spaces (well-lit & modern); Friday breakfasts; several very memorably nice co-workers

Cons

Arrogant litigation attorneys: one partner, in particular, openly disparaged his secretary of 25+ years to his underlings within my (unacknowledged) presence; bullying secretarial staff members ("pow wows" anyone?); otherwise dismissive, disrespectful co-workers; grossly unprofessional HR admin. whom I understand has since been replaced & moved onto another, smaller firm
