      Integrity Challenge Support Excellence Bravery

      Pros

      In my tenure at DDD Ltd, through a challenging year, I learned about leadership, team work and integrity. This was, in the main, as a result of the situation my role actually turned out to be. In a pressured work environment you have to work hard to receive advice and guidance but when it comes it generally really good, can develop the individual as well as resolve any issue / need.

      Cons

      I experienced how challenging a member of the managememt team was met with contempt. I saw my colleagues being thoroughly unsupported and as I was brave enough to speak out I was met with silence. I feel that the core values are brilliant ones but they need to be practiced and demonstrated from the top downwards.

It really sounds like the values we have really resonated with you, and you took the opportunity to learn and grow whilst here at DDD - which is great to hear. We place a really high importance on our values (Integrity Challenge Support Excellence Bravery), and we are continually working to further embed these into the business. We rely on our leaders and line managers to role model the values on a daily basis - so I'm sorry to hear that you felt a member of the team did not display these values consistently. As you say, we have many people in the business who live and breath the values and our culture. When we see behaviours that are not in keeping with our core principles, we take action (offering training, support, feedback and challenge).

      Fleet - a business in decline - avoid

      Pros

      - Strength of formulations and lab development team currently carrying the business - Leadership team seem to want to improve capabilities and culture

      Cons

      - The most negatively political environment I've worked in, cronyism is rife leading to unqualified or inexperienced people in senior roles - Business unable to meet client orders on time and in full (OTIF) resulting in damaged relationships and the need to deceive or cover up constant errors - Staff turnover like nothing I've ever experienced, a revolving door at all levels

      Thank you for taking the time to leave your comments - we are always keen to hear what our current and ex-employees think about working here at DDD. We've been working really hard to make sure that we create an enjoyable place to work, and I'm pleased to say that our latest employee survey has shown improvements in almost all areas. We also acknowledge that as we've been through a period of transformation, our staff turnover has been high. However, this is now reducing back down to it's lowest level in many years. But we are not complacent, and are committed to making sure that we nurture the great talents we have at DDD, and bring in high performing individuals who can thrive in our growing business.

The good news is that we have a number of investments taking place in 2019 and beyond that are specifcally designed to help everyone be more productive in their roles.
