      Avoid at all costs!

      Pros

      If you're happy to ignore the negatives, then it can be a great place to work. People are on the whole good to get along with and management have a smile on their faces most of the time. I've never had any issues with payroll and always get paid what I've earned.

      Cons

      The egocentricity of certain management figures is unbearable. A day hardly goes by without someone talking about how important it is to 'big up' management. Even the new website is all about management figures because they convinced themselves that they're so important that even members of the public would be interested in knowing all about them. The paltry pay does not help. No wonder the management always have smiles on their faces, it's because they're taking the rest of us for idiots! For a company who takes over 30% of whatever their clients claim back from the banks (30% of the clients money!) the pay is shocking. It's a massively unethical business and I hate being part of it.

      Okay for now but I want to leave

      Pros

      The teams work well together and it's easy to get on with people if you keep your head down and work. The work in my team (Credit Control) is quite easy and doesn't require much effort. My manager is firm but fair and works hard for us.

      Cons

      Some teams are controlled in a very strange way by managers. Small differences of opinion between team members get brought up by some managers as if they're huge issues. This can be really upsetting if you just want to get on and work. 'HR action' is used as a threat whenever someone has an issue with their workload. Too many colleagues have been forced to leave because the managers doesn't like them (at least that's how it seems to the rest of us).

      Not a nice place at all

      Pros

      Its easy to get to work and there are good bus and train routes. Pay is okay and there are fun events during the year which we get involved in. We do things like support Comic Relief and the managers get involved.

      Cons

      Working hours are set without looking at workload. So people get times where theres not enough work to do and times when theres not enough people in to do the work because holiday has been book. Alot of personal problems get ignored so people end up stressed. Some of the social events are just about drinking which isnt good if you dont like drinking.
