Pros

Flexibility to plan your work week and accordingly spread the 40 hours as you prefer.

Cons

Structures are too rigid with little room for career growth.

Pros

Remote work 100%. Great work/life balance. Great remuneration (depending on your country) No micromanaging (managers are not always telling you what to do, although you are always monitored to ensure you are working) Peer-reviewed tasks Constant learning and development

Cons

It is very hard to get in, the initial tests are quite hard. Constant monitoring (it might not sit well with some people) No paid time off (you're hired as a contractor, so you can take up to 10 days off a month, but they are not paid. Although it is contract work, you are expected to clock in 40 hrs a week) The workload can be heavy at times You will almost certainly never meet with your coworkers (it might not sit well with some people)

Pros

No micromanagement at all. If you're good you won't be bothered by your manager at all. There is always work to do. Something new to learn, to try, to test, to solve. Weekly payments in USD. Never missed a payment or got it late beyond US public holidays. Work and interact with people all around the world!

Cons

No career plans, you own everything. Your quality and performance, but also your career and your future. No one will be telling you or discussing you where to go, who to reach out or what to do. You need to make your own way to thrive and succeed. Changes are happening all the time.
