Pros

I love that working for (and through) Crossover allows contractors to work flexible hours that are best for their personal schedule. I personal enjoy the freedom of being able to travel frequently and I love getting more time at home with my family and friends instead of spending it commuting or on unnecessary lunch/coffee breaks I would take if I worked in an office. The limited distractions are great for maximizing productivity as well. I also love that Crossover was founded in large-part to make great jobs available to anyone who has the skills to excel at them, regardless of location. Crossover has an inspiring social mission to even the global economic playing field.

Cons

Because Crossover is one of the first companies to break into the remote hiring industry, it is expected that there would be numerous problems and road bumps to navigate and solve. I appreciate that everyone at Crossover is working hard to eliminate problems, boost efficiency, and improve the service we provide to our clients and contractors.

Pros

I work for the Crossover internal team, as well as for another team (a Crossover client). So far, any issues I've had, were resolved fast. I get paid in time, I got training expenses deducted, I felt appreciated for my work and the communication with the colleagues has been satisfiable.

Cons

It's hard to keep up with everything in a big company, where everyone works in the same building. So considering we're working all across the globe, expect some lag/downtime to receive answers and replies.

After my first year at Crossover

Pros

- I have to tell there's a huge difference in quality of people working for this company comparing to my previous journeys. - Never had problem with my payments it's like a clock every week. - Learned a lot from my direct supervisors, now regretting I could be 4x more successful if I could apply these working / productivity methods with my previous startups. - Managing my own time is outstanding. I'm free to do whetever I want, whenever I want to. Nobody is baby-sitting in Crossover, all you have to do is to contribute in your company 40 hours a week, nobody cares when you did it. - Their tracking platform (Worksmart) told me a lot about myself. I was consuming unnecessarily too much social media and news before, now I'm more focused.

Cons

- Having physical work friends is amazing, you won't have it in Crossover since you'll have a team of international talent. This may be distractive too.

Thanks for the review and glad to know you like the remote model. The WorkSmart is indeed an awesome resource to gain insights about yourself, so it's great that you use to its full extent. Also thank you for your suggestion about internal communication - we'll do our best to do a better job there.
