Pioneering the way for the work-from-home model
Pros
I love that working for (and through) Crossover allows contractors to work flexible hours that are best for their personal schedule. I personal enjoy the freedom of being able to travel frequently and I love getting more time at home with my family and friends instead of spending it commuting or on unnecessary lunch/coffee breaks I would take if I worked in an office. The limited distractions are great for maximizing productivity as well. I also love that Crossover was founded in large-part to make great jobs available to anyone who has the skills to excel at them, regardless of location. Crossover has an inspiring social mission to even the global economic playing field.
Cons
Because Crossover is one of the first companies to break into the remote hiring industry, it is expected that there would be numerous problems and road bumps to navigate and solve. I appreciate that everyone at Crossover is working hard to eliminate problems, boost efficiency, and improve the service we provide to our clients and contractors.
