Pros

You get paid (not the full, because they cut part of it for some reasons you will see below, but anyway, YES, you get paid)

Cons

Well, where should I start?? I worked almost 3 months for this company, as a IT PM PMP, bringing more than 10 years IT and Project Management expertize on the table, from a couple of Top 500 Fortune companies. The experience was miserable...no, actually it was worst. For a start: They have this "productivity" tool, which you need to install on your computer, and it counts actually every click, every mouse move, every key strike...and on top of that it takes a picture of YOU (I really mean you, in front of the computer) every 2-10 minutes, RANDOMLY. You need to be EFFECTIVELY 8h per day in front of your computer, typing every single moment (I mean that). For 8h. I was working on European time, which meant I needed to be available from 9 am to 12 at night, since my boss was based on Pacific time, and every single night we had a daily call (every single day at 10-12 in the night). And I wanted to know how this would feel, and I did it. For almost 3 months. The RESULT: I got FIRED because of 2 thinks: - Lack of budget, as they discovered that after 1.5 months, my position I was hired on, is obsolete.....they promised to find something else to me, but they failed, of course, I think they didn't even tried.... - Since this reason was outrageos, and I challenged that with their HR, local Directors, and so on, they looked for another one: - They took ALL my registered activity, and out of around 2.600 periods of 5-10 min logged into their system, they managed to found (btw, this was a 2-3 person job for a week, I think) so, they managed to found 24 episodes, with around 3h duration, in total, where I had lower activity (around 2-3 clicks per minute, and very few keyboard strokes) SO, they FIRED me for LOW Activity, based on this. Btw, 2 weeks before of that, I asked my manager if I should take new projects, or maybe stay less logged-in, like part-time, since I did not had enough activity any more, so the result above on part of the working day. Marcos, my manager, said that I need to make 8h, no mater what I do or how, since otherwise I will be FIRED anyway, since I don't deliver at full speed....

Pros

Remote work the only benefit

Cons

Like many of you, I entered thinking the comments in many webpages were bad experiences, and my case would be different but totally WRONG. From the first day of work, you have to start achieving unrealistic results without having an introduction. Apart from that, you don't have any kind of privacy, It's mandatory to install various tracking tools(worksmart, plugins, etc) and If you are not present during the webcam shot, your 10 minutes of work doesn't count After some week of hard work, you will notice managers will try to charge on you even more extra work, that means you will be working whole week; only with a few hours of free time. Fortunately, I found a better job and I'll be leaving next week.
